Back from the abyss...

Wed Oct 22, 2008, 5:09 PM
Seems I pop in and then pop out every now and then. I suppose I hit a funk that sent my drawing and artwork into a slump. I haven't done artist alley for the past 2 Otakons now due to real life and getting married. It's a hobby for me. I love it but since I don't need it to live, it can get pushed to the side a lot. I hadn't picked up my pencil for months...and touched it again just a bit ago. It's odd. My work doesn't look like my work anymore. Like someone else was drawing through my hand. I let the pencil glide over the paper and I am truly surprised at some of my work. I have started to let music guide the pencil as well.
There are several works in progress that need a digital touch, but I am pleased with how the sketches are coming out, so as a teaser, I am uploading several pieces that I have been playing with, one fanart and sketches of mine and my husband's original characters.

A reappearance

Sun May 13, 2007, 7:19 AM
Ok, so I have been lazy and busy at the same time. Been planning my wedding and just haven't gotten around to the artwork even from last year. I know. Bad.

I have a few I am going to be putting up...Pizzazz, Matsumoto, and an original character.
I have been wanting to draw more Jem art, so we'll see where that goes.

Later!

A change

Mon Oct 3, 2005, 6:24 PM
I need a change.
I hate to take my Cartoon Version of Link and Zelda down as a featured piece, but I guess I can alternate.

I've delved into my 80s cartoon addictions again.

This time, Jem and the Holograms has emerged with a vengance.

First, a quick sketch with color of a redone/updated look for Kimber that I am doing for all the girls.

I like her. Aja will be next.

I have returned!

Otakon was awesome! I'll have a picture of my costumes up in a bit I think, but for now, I leave you with the highlight of my Artist run this year...

The Hero is Ready.

Only left with one print of this left.

"I love this pose! It just screams...'Bring it on Beotch!'" - by someone who bought a print of it.

5 days and counting!!
